Coastal Beaches and Trails
The Pacific Rim coastline of BC is a beautiful, wild place to visit and enjoy. It can also be hazardous at times, so it’s essential to know how to stay safe next time you visit the beach or hike a coastal trail.
Safety Signs at Beaches and Trails
At beaches and trailheads along the Pacific Rim coastline you will find CoastSmart signs informing you about hazards in the area, and providing safety information and advice. These signs provide information about hazards such as rip currents, unexpected waves, slips trips and falls and other things you should pay attention to during your coastal visit. Check the red signs for hazard warnings and the blue signs for helpful information about the hazards.
